This specification covers the performance, testing, and quality requirements for TE Connectivity RAST 5 blade plug connectors. The housing design conforms to RAST 5 specifications, featuring locking, keying, and polarization functions, available in vertical and right-angle versions, as well as standard RAST 5 blade plug and positive-lock versions. The product design shall comply with the design, construction, and physical dimensions specified in the applicable product drawings. Housing material is thermoplastic or high-temperature thermoplastic, rated UL94V-0, with GWFI of 850°C and GWIT of 775°C; contacts are copper alloy, overall nickel-plated with tin or silver finish plating. Voltage ratings are 400VAC at full load and 600VAC at selective load; current ratings are 20A maximum for 8-position silver-plated contacts, 20A maximum for 8-position tin-plated contacts, and 16A maximum for 8-position tin-plated contacts when used with TE standard power timers; temperature rating is -40°C to +120°C. The product design meets the electrical, mechanical, and environmental performance requirements specified in Figure 1.
