ADS8863IDGSR

The ADS8863 is a 16-bit, 680kSPS, true differential input analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This device operates with an external reference voltage ranging from 2.5V to 5V, providing a wide signal range without the need for additional signal conditioning. This reference voltage setting is independent of and can exceed the analog power supply voltage (AVDD). This device provides an SPI-compatible serial port, which also supports daisy-chain operation for cascading multiple devices. An optional busy indicator bit enables easy synchronization with the digital host. This device supports unipolar, true differential analog input signals with a differential input swing from -VREF to +VREF. This true differential analog input structure allows any common-mode voltage value in the range of 0V to +VREF (when both inputs are within the operating input range of -0.1V to VREF + 0.1V). The device operation is optimized for extremely low-power operation. The power consumption is directly proportional to the speed. This feature makes the ADS8863 well-suited for low-speed applications.
