ADS8865IDRCR

The ADS8865 is a 16-bit, 400kSPS, true differential input analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This device operates with an external reference voltage ranging from 2.5V to 5V, providing a wide signal range without the need for additional signal conditioning. The reference voltage setting is independent of and can exceed the analog power supply voltage (AVDD). This device offers an SPI-compatible serial port, which also supports daisy-chain operation for cascading multiple devices. An optional busy indicator bit facilitates easy synchronization with the digital host. This device supports unipolar, true differential analog input signals with a differential input swing from -VREF to +VREF. This true differential analog input structure allows any common-mode voltage value within the range of 0V to +VREF (when both inputs are within the operating input range of -0.1V to VREF + 0.1V). The device operation is optimized for extremely low power consumption. Power consumption is directly proportional to speed. This characteristic makes the ADS8865 well-suited for low-speed applications.
