Overview

The DP83TC812-Q1 is an automotive PHYTER Ethernet PHY transceiver compliant with IEEE 802.3bw, supporting unshielded twisted pair cable. The PHY supports TC10 sleep and wake-up functionality. It provides all the physical layer functions required for transmitting and receiving data over a single shielded twisted pair cable. The device features xMII flexibility, supporting standard MII, RMII, RGMII, and SGMII MAC interfaces. The PHY also integrates a low-pass filter on the MDI side to reduce emissions. The device includes a diagnostic toolkit providing extensive real-time monitoring, debugging tools, and test modes. The toolkit features the first integrated ESD monitoring tool, capable of counting ESD events on the MDI and providing real-time monitoring via programmable interrupts. In addition, the DP83TC812-Q1 incorporates a PRBS frame generation tool, fully compatible with internal loopback, enabling data transmission and reception without a MAC. The device is available in a 6.00mm×6.00mm, 36-pin VQFN wettable flank package. The device is pin-to-pin compatible with the DP83TG720 (1000BASE-T1) and form-factor compatible with the DP83TC811. This allows the DP83TC811, DP83TC812, DP83TC814, and DP83TG720 to share a single PCB layout.
