The INA199 series of voltage-output, current shunt monitors (also known as current sense amplifiers) are commonly used for overcurrent protection, precise current measurement for system optimization, or closed-loop feedback circuits. Devices in this series can sense the voltage drop across a shunt resistor at a common-mode voltage ranging from –0.3V to 26V, independent of the supply voltage. There are three fixed gains available: 50V/V, 100V/V, and 200V/V. These devices use a zero-drift architecture with low offset, enabling them to keep the maximum voltage drop across the shunt resistor at a minimum full-scale value of 10mV during current sensing. These devices are powered by a single supply voltage from 2.7V to 26V and consume a maximum supply current of 100μA. All versions are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and are available in SC70-6 and thin UQFN-10 packages.
