ISO1042BDWR

The ISO1042 device is an electrically isolated Controller Area Network (CAN) transceiver that complies with the ISO11898-2 (2016) standard specifications. The ISO1042 device provides ±70V DC bus fault protection and a ±30V common-mode voltage range. This device supports a maximum data rate of 5Mbps in CAN FD mode, enabling faster payload transmission compared to classic CAN. The device uses a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulation barrier, which can withstand a voltage of 5000V RMS and an operating voltage of 1060V RMS. The electromagnetic compatibility is significantly enhanced, enabling system-level ESD, EFT, and surge protection and complying with radiation standards. When used with an isolated power supply, this device can withstand high-voltage shocks and prevent bus noise currents from entering the local ground. The ISO1042 device can be used for basic and reinforced isolation. The ISO1042 device supports a wide ambient temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. This device is available in SOIC-16 (DW) and the more compact SOIC-8 (DWV) packages.
