The L78LxxABUTR is a three-terminal positive voltage regulator capable of delivering up to 150mA output current. The regulator features built-in current limiting and thermal shutdown protection, making it essentially immune to overload conditions. When used as a replacement for Zener diode-resistor combinations, it provides significant improvement in output impedance while reducing quiescent current.
