The LMZ12001EXT SIMPLE SWITCHER power module is an easy-to-use step-down DC/DC solution capable of delivering up to 1A of load current, featuring excellent power conversion efficiency, line and load regulation, and output accuracy. The innovative package design improves thermal performance and supports both hand and machine soldering. Compatible with input voltages from 4.5V to 20V, it provides an adjustable high-accuracy output voltage as low as 0.8V. A complete power solution requires only 3 external resistors and 4 external capacitors. It is a reliable, robust design offering the following protection features: thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, output overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, output current limiting, and pre-biased output startup capability. Switching frequency is adjustable up to 1 MHz via a single resistor.
