Overview

The LMZ12002 SIMPLE SWITCHER power module is an easy-to-use step-down DC/DC solution capable of delivering up to 2A of load current, with excellent power conversion efficiency, line and load regulation, and output accuracy. The LMZ12002 features an innovative package design that improves thermal performance and supports both manual and machine soldering. The LMZ12002 operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 20V and provides an adjustable high-accuracy output voltage as low as 0.8V. The LMZ12002 requires only 3 external resistors and 4 external capacitors to implement a complete power solution. The LMZ12002 is a reliable and robust design featuring the following protection functions: thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, output overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, output current limiting, and support for pre-biased output startup. A single resistor adjusts the switching frequency up to 1 MHz.
