The LMZ31506 power module is an easy-to-use integrated power solution that combines a 6A DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and multiple passive components in a compact QFN package. This all-in-one power solution requires only three external components, eliminating the need for loop compensation and magnetic component selection. The 9mm × 15mm × 2.8mm QFN package solders easily onto a PCB and enables compact point-of-load designs with efficiency exceeding 90%, along with excellent power dissipation featuring a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of only 13°C/W. At an ambient temperature of 85°C with no airflow, the device delivers a full rated output current of 6A. The LMZ31506 offers the flexibility and feature set of a discrete point-of-load design, making it ideal for powering high-performance DSPs and FPGAs. Advanced packaging technology provides a robust and reliable power solution compatible with standard QFN assembly and test processes.
