MIC29302AWT/HG

The MIC29302AW is a high-current, low-cost, low-dropout voltage regulator utilizing Micrel's proprietary Super Beta PNP process and PNP pass element. This 3A LDO regulator features a 450mV dropout voltage (at full load) and very low ground current. It is designed for high-current loads and is also suitable for low-current, dropout-critical systems where dropout voltage and ground current values are important characteristics. The regulator offers ±2% total accuracy (over temperature, line, and load regulation) with fast transient recovery from input voltage surges and output load current variations. The MIC29302AW features an adjustable output, with voltage settable between 1.24V and 15V via two external resistors. The device also provides comprehensive protection against overcurrent faults, input polarity reversal, reverse insertion, and over-temperature operation. The MIC29302AW includes a TTL logic enable (EN) pin for shutting down the regulator. If this function is not used, EN can be connected to IN (input) for continuous operation. The MIC29302AW is available in standard 5-pin TO-263 and TO-252 packages, with an operating junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
