The TCAN844-Q1 is a high-speed CAN transceiver compliant with the physical layer requirements of the ISO 11898-2:2024 high-speed CAN specification. The device features an internal logic-level translation function via the VIO pin, allowing direct connection of transceiver I/O to 3.3V or 5V logic levels. The transceiver supports a low-power standby mode and can be woken up via CAN bus compliant with the Wake-Up Pattern (WUP) requirements defined in ISO 11898-2:2024. Additionally, the transceiver includes thermal shutdown (TSD), TXD dominant timeout (DTO), supply undervoltage detection, and ±40V bus fault protection. These devices define fail-safe behavior under supply undervoltage or floating pin conditions. The transceivers are available in industry-standard SOIC-8 and VSON-8 packages, with a space-saving SOT-23 package option also available.
