The TLIN1029A-Q1 is a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) physical layer transceiver that integrates wake-up and protection functions and complies with the LIN 2.0, LIN 2.1, LIN 2.2, LIN 2.2 A, and ISO/DIS 17987–4 standards. LIN is a single-wire bidirectional bus commonly used in in-vehicle networks with data transmission rates of up to 20 kbps. The TLIN1029A-Q1 is designed to support 12V applications, featuring a wider operating voltage range and additional bus fault protection. It enables glitch-free operation during power-up and power-down on the LIN bus and RXD output. Protection features: – ±45V LIN bus fault tolerance – VSUP undervoltage protection – TXD dominant timeout (DTO) protection – Thermal shutdown protection – System-level protection against unpowered nodes or ground disconnection failures It is available in SOIC (8) with wettable flanks and leadless VSON(8) packages. The LIN receiver supports data transmission rates of up to 100 kbps, enabling faster in-line programming. The TLIN1029A-Q1 uses a current-limiting waveform shaping driver that reduces electromagnetic emissions (EME) to convert the data stream on the TXD input into a LIN bus signal. The receiver converts the data stream into a logic-level signal, which is sent to the microprocessor via the open-drain RXD pin. The sleep mode allows for ultra-low current consumption and permits wake-up via the LIN bus or the EN pin. The TLIN1029A-Q1 integrates resistors suitable for LIN responder node applications, as well as ESD protection and fault protection functions, which help reduce the number of external components in the application. In the event of ground drift or power supply voltage disconnection, the device prevents feedback current from flowing through the LIN to the power input. The TLIN1029A-Q1 also includes undervoltage detection, overheat shutdown protection, and ground failure protection functions.
