The TLIN2029A-Q1 is a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) physical layer transceiver that integrates wake-up and protection functions and complies with the LIN 2.0, LIN 2.1, LIN 2.2, LIN 2.2 A, and ISO/DIS 17987–4 standards. LIN is a single-wire bidirectional bus commonly used in in-vehicle networks with data transfer rates of up to 20 kbps. The TLIN2029A-Q1 is designed to support 12V and 24V applications, featuring a wider operating voltage range and additional bus fault protection. It enables glitch-free operation during power-up and power-down on the LIN bus and RXD output. Protection features: – ±60V LIN bus fault tolerance VSUP undervoltage protection TXD dominant timeout (DTO) protection Thermal shutdown protection System-level protection against unpowered nodes or ground disconnection failures. It is available in SOIC (8) with wettable flanks and leadless VSON (8) packages. The LIN receiver supports data transfer rates of up to 100 kbps, enabling faster in-line programming. The TLIN2029A-Q1 uses a current-limiting waveform shaping driver that reduces electromagnetic emissions (EME) to convert the data stream on the TXD input into a LIN bus signal. The receiver converts the data stream into a logic-level signal, which is sent to the microprocessor through the open-drain RXD pin. The sleep mode allows for ultra-low current consumption and can be awakened via the LIN bus or the EN pin.
