TPS23861PW

The TPS23861 is an easy-to-use, flexible IEEE 802.3at PSE solution. Once deployed, the device can automatically manage four 802.3at ports without any external control. The TPS23861 automatically detects powered devices (PDs) with valid signatures, determines power requirements based on classification, and applies power. Two-event classification for Type 2 PDs is supported. The TPS23861 supports both DC disconnect and external FET architectures, enabling designers to balance size, efficiency, and solution cost requirements. The unique pin assignment enables 2-layer PCB design through logical grouping and clear top-bottom separation of I²C and power pins. This delivers best-in-class thermal performance, Kelvin accuracy, and low build cost. In addition to the auto operating mode, the TPS23861 supports semi-auto mode via I²C control for precise monitoring and intelligent power management. The 400ms TPON specification is guaranteed in both semi-auto and auto modes.
