The TPS7A44 low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator combines a 4V to 65V input voltage range with ultra-low quiescent current. This device supports a wide range of input voltages (e.g., 15-cell batteries and 24V to 48V line power supplies) and can withstand line transient voltages up to 85V. These features help modern applications meet increasingly stringent energy requirements and extend battery life in portable power solutions. The TPS7A44 output (OUT) is available in fixed and adjustable output voltage versions; the adjustable version regulates from 1.24V to 14.5V with 1% accuracy. The device also provides a second intermediate output (MID_OUT), configurable to 10V, 12V, or 15V via the MVSEL pin, which can be used to bias gate drivers in place of discrete regulators. The TPS7A44 features a precision enable input that allows a resistor divider from the input rail to enable or disable the LDO at a fixed, accurate threshold voltage. The power-good (PG) output monitors the feedback pin voltage to indicate the status of the output voltage. The EN input and PG output can be used to sequence multiple power supplies in a system.
