The TPS7A53 is a low-noise (4.4μV_RMS), ultra-low-dropout linear regulator (LDO) capable of sourcing 3A with a maximum dropout voltage of only 110mV. The output voltage is adjustable via an external resistor divider over a range of 0.8V to 5.2V. The TPS7A53 combines low noise (4.4μV_RMS), high PSRR, and high output current capability, making it ideal for powering noise-sensitive components in high-speed communications, video, medical, or test and measurement applications. Its high performance in suppressing power supply-induced phase noise and clock jitter makes it well suited for powering high-performance SerDes, ADCs, and DACs. The combination of high performance and output capability up to 5.2V makes it particularly attractive for RF amplifier applications. For digital loads requiring low-input and low-output (LILO) voltage operation — such as ASICs, FPGAs, and DSPs — the TPS7A53 delivers excellent system performance through its superior accuracy (0.5% over load and temperature range), remote sensing, outstanding transient performance, and soft-start capability. As an adjustable regulator, the TPS7A53 enables versatile designs, making it suitable for both analog loads such as VCOs, ADCs, DACs, and imaging sensors, as well as digital loads such as SerDes, FPGAs, and DSPs.
