The TPSM63602 synchronous step-down power module is a highly integrated 36V, 2A DC/DC solution that integrates multiple power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and multiple passive components in an enhanced HotRod QFN package. The VIN and VOUT pins are located at the corners of the package to optimize the placement of input and output capacitors in the layout. Four large thermal pads on the bottom of the module enable simple layout and easy handling during manufacturing. The TPSM63602 features an output voltage range of 1V to 16V and is designed for fast, easy implementation of low-EMI designs with a small PCB footprint. The total solution requires only four external components, eliminating the need to select magnetic and compensation components during the design process. Despite its simple, compact design targeting space-constrained applications, the TPSM63602 module offers numerous features for robust performance: a precision enable pin with hysteresis for input voltage UVLO adjustment, resistor-programmable switching node slew rate for improved EMI, integrated VCC, bootstrap and input capacitors for enhanced reliability and density, constant switching frequency across the full load current range for improved load transient performance, and a PGOOD indicator for sequencing control, fault protection, and output voltage monitoring.
