Overview
The UCD90124A is a 12-rail PMBus/I²C addressable power sequencer and monitor. The device integrates a 12-bit ADC capable of monitoring up to 12 power voltage inputs. 26 GPIO pins can be used for power enable, power-on reset signals, external interrupts, cascading, or other system functions. 12 of these pins provide PWM functionality. Using these pins, the UCD90124A supports fan control, margining, and general-purpose PWM functions. Specific power states can be achieved using the pin-selected voltage rail status feature. This feature allows up to 3 GPIs to enable and disable any voltage rail. This is useful for implementing system low-power modes and for the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specification for hardware devices. The Fusion Digital Power Designer software is used for device configuration. This PC-based GUI provides an intuitive interface for configuring, storing, and monitoring all system operating parameters.
