Overview
The UCD90320 is a 32-rail PMBus™ addressable power sequencer and system manager in a 0.8mm pitch BGA package. 24 integrated ADC channels (AMONx) monitor power supply voltage, current, and temperature. Among 84 GPIO pins, 8 can be used as digital monitors (DMONx), 32 can support power enables (ENx), 24 are used for margining (MARx), 16 for logic GPO, and 32 GPI pins are available for cascading and system functions. The 32 ENx pins and 16 LGPOx pins are configurable as active-level drive or open-drain outputs. Non-volatile event logging preserves fault events after power loss. The black box fault logging feature captures the state of all power rails and I/O pins upon the first fault occurrence. The cascading feature enables easy management of up to 128 voltage rails via a single SYNC_CLK pin connection. The FAULT pin coordinates cascaded devices for synchronized fault response. The pin-selected rail state feature uses up to 3 GPI pins to control up to eight user-defined power states, enabling system low-power modes as defined in the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specification. TI Fusion Digital Power™ Designer software is a PC-based intuitive GUI for configuring, storing, and monitoring all system operating parameters.
Applications
- Industrial and ATE equipment
- Telecom and networking equipment
- Servers and storage systems
- Systems requiring sequencing and monitoring of multiple power rails
Key features
- Sequencing, monitoring, and margining for 24 voltage rails and 8 digital rails
