Overview
The MLA Automotive Series transient voltage surge suppression devices are based on multilayer manufacturing technology. These components are designed to suppress various transient events, including those specified in IEC 61000-4-2 or other EMC standards. This series is commonly used to protect ICs and other components at the board level. Its wide operating voltage and energy range make it suitable for numerous applications on power, control, and signal lines. The series is made from semiconducting ceramics in a leadless SMT package, compatible with modern reflow and wave soldering processes. Compared to Zener diodes, it offers a wider operating temperature range, and its footprint is significantly smaller than that of plastic-packaged components.
