Silicon planar power Zener diodes for voltage regulation and clipping circuits with high power ratings. Standard Zener voltage tolerance is ±10%. Suffix "A" denotes ±5% tolerance; suffix "B" denotes ±2% tolerance. Other tolerances available upon request. This series is also available in DO-41 package under part numbers 1N4727...1N4761. Glass package MELF dimensions in mm. Maximum ratings at Ta = 25℃. Characteristics test conditions at Ta = 25℃. Dynamic impedance is derived from a 60 Hz AC voltage superimposed on the Zener current IZT or IZK with an AC current whose RMS value equals 10% of the Zener current. Dynamic impedance is measured at two points to ensure a sharp knee on the breakdown curve and to screen out unstable devices. This characteristic is valid when the electrodes are maintained at ambient temperature. Tests use pulse width tp = 20 ms. Values listed in the electrical characteristics table are maximum peak, non-repetitive reverse surge currents as 1/2 square wave or equivalent sine wave pulses with a duration of 1/120 second, superimposed on the test current IZT.
