The 5KP series is specifically designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients caused by lightning strikes and other transient voltage events.

- 5kW peak pulse capability at 10/1000μs waveform, repetition rate (duty cycle) 0.01%
- P600 package with glass passivated chip junction
- Fast response time: typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to minimum breakdown voltage
- Excellent clamping capability
- Typical failure mode is short circuit under overvoltage or overcurrent conditions
- Whisker tested per Table 4a and 4c of JEDEC JESD201A
