The AD8418A is a high-voltage, high-resolution current sense amplifier. It features a fixed gain of 20 V/V with a maximum gain error of ±0.2% over the full temperature range. The buffered output voltage can be directly connected to any typical converter. The AD8418A delivers excellent input common-mode rejection with input common-mode voltages ranging from -2V to +70V; it supports bidirectional current measurement across a shunt resistor, making it suitable for a wide range of automotive and industrial applications, including motor control, power management, and solenoid control. The AD8418A provides excellent performance over the full temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Its zero-drift core delivers a typical offset drift of 0.1 μV/°C over the entire operating temperature and common-mode voltage range. The AD8418A is qualified for automotive applications. The device integrates an EMI filter and patented circuitry to achieve high output accuracy under PWM-type input common-mode voltages. The typical input offset voltage is ±200 μV. The AD8418A is available in 8-lead MSOP and SOIC packages.
