ADS8885IDGS

The ADS8885 is an 18-bit, 400 kSPS, true differential input analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This device operates with an external reference voltage ranging from 2.5 V to 5 V, providing a wide signal range without the need for additional signal conditioning. The reference voltage setting is independent of and can exceed the analog power supply voltage (AVDD). This device features an SPI-compatible serial port, which also supports daisy-chain operation for cascading multiple devices. An optional busy indicator bit facilitates easy synchronization with the digital host. This device supports unipolar, true differential analog input signals with a differential input swing from -VREF to +VREF. This true differential analog input structure allows any common-mode voltage value within the range of 0 V to +VREF (when both inputs are within the operating input range of -0.1 V to VREF + 0.1 V). The device operation is optimized for extremely low-power operation. Power consumption is directly proportional to speed. This feature makes the ADS8885 well-suited for low-speed applications.
