Overview
This discrete TVS diode is fabricated using proprietary silicon avalanche technology to protect electronic device I/O pins from destructive ESD. These robust TVS diodes can withstand repetitive ±30kV contact or air ESD discharge events without performance degradation. This exceeds the ESD contact and air discharge test requirements of IEC 61000-4-2. In addition, this TVS diode can withstand 8/20 surge current events per IEC 61000-4-5 Edition 2 up to 7A while still providing low voltage clamping levels.
