Overview

BQ25758S is a bidirectional switch-mode buck/boost controller. The device enables highly efficient power conversion over a wide voltage range via output CC-CV control. All loop compensation for the buck/boost converter is integrated, providing an easy-to-use, high-density solution. In reverse mode, the device draws power from the output supply and regulates the input terminal voltage through an added constant-current loop for protection. In addition to I2C host control mode, the device supports programmable hardware limits. The input current and output current regulation targets can be set individually via a single resistor on the IIN and IOUT pins respectively. By default, the device is programmed to provide a 5V output, and the target output voltage can be adjusted via the VOUT_REG register bits.
