ETA1039S2G

ETA1039 is a high-efficiency synchronous boost converter capable of delivering up to 1.5A from a low-voltage source with a fixed output voltage up to 5V. Unlike most boost converters, it integrates a circuit that disconnects the input from the output during shutdown, short circuit, output current overload, or other conditions where the output exceeds the input. This eliminates the need for an external MOSFET and its associated control circuitry to disconnect the input from the output, while providing robust output overload protection. In addition, the ETA1039 offers the flexibility to set an input peak current limit, thereby limiting the output current. The 1MHz switching frequency allows the use of small, low-profile inductors and ceramic capacitors, minimizing the solution's board footprint. Internal synchronous MOSFETs deliver maximum efficiency, and the internally compensated current-mode control minimizes the external component count. The ETA1039 is available in a compact SOT23-6 package.
