ETA3512FSG

ETA3512 is a high-efficiency DC-DC step-down switching regulator capable of delivering up to 3A of output current. The device operates over an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and an output voltage range of 0.6V to VIN, making it an ideal choice for low-voltage power conversion. The ETA3512 employs an adaptive Constant On-Time (COT) control scheme to achieve ultra-fast transient response and provide very smooth transitions when the output load changes from light to heavy. Under light-load conditions, the ETA3512 enters PFM mode to reduce switching losses, thereby achieving high efficiency. The adaptive COT control also maintains a constant switching frequency across varying input voltages and load conditions. Operating at a fixed frequency of 2MHz allows the use of inductors with small inductance values and low DCR, enabling higher efficiency. The higher switching frequency also allows other external components — such as ceramic input and output capacitors — to be miniaturized while maintaining excellent low-noise output voltage. An internal soft-start control circuit reduces inrush current. Short-circuit and thermal overload protection enhance design reliability. The ETA3512 is available in a compact SOT563 package.
