Overview
GM2501 is a compact, high-efficiency high-frequency DC-DC regulator (µPOL). The switching frequency ranges from 6.5MHz to 10MHz, allowing the use of very small external components. Fixed output voltages between 1.2V and 3.3V are available, supporting input voltages from 2.3V to 5.5V. The 18µA low quiescent current enables high efficiency even under very light loads. At light load currents, the regulator automatically enters pulse frequency modulation (PFM) operating mode to achieve optimal efficiency across the entire load current range. If PFM mode is not required, the MODE pin can be set HIGH to force fixed-frequency operation (PWM). The µPOL comes in a compact 6-pin WLCSP package with a 400µm pin pitch and dimensions of 1.2mm x 0.9mm x 0.6mm.
