The LM22675 switching regulator provides all the functions needed to implement a high-efficiency, high step-down voltage regulator using minimal external components. This easy-to-use regulator integrates a 42V N-channel MOSFET switch capable of delivering up to 1A of load current, featuring excellent line and load regulation and high efficiency (>90%). Voltage mode control provides a short minimum on-time, enabling the widest ratio between input and output voltage. Internal loop compensation eliminates the tedious task of calculating loop compensation components. The regulator is available in both fixed 5V output and adjustable output voltage options. The 500kHz switching frequency allows the use of small external components and achieves good transient response. A precision enable input simplifies regulator control and system power sequencing. In shutdown mode, the regulator draws only 25μA (typical) of quiescent current. The built-in soft-start function (500μs typical) reduces external component count. The LM22675 also features integrated thermal shutdown and current limiting to protect the device against accidental overload conditions.
