LM22680QMR-ADJ/NOPB

The LM22680 switching regulator provides all the functions needed to implement a highly efficient, high-voltage step-down regulator with a minimum number of external components. This easy-to-use regulator integrates a 42V N-channel MOSFET switch capable of delivering up to 2A of load current, with excellent line and load regulation and high efficiency (>90%). Voltage-mode control provides a short minimum on-time, enabling the widest ratio between input and output voltages. Internal loop compensation eliminates the tedious task of calculating loop compensation components. The regulator is available in both a fixed 5V output and an adjustable output voltage option. The default switching frequency is set at 500kHz, allowing the use of small external components while providing good transient response. The frequency can also be adjusted over a range of 200kHz to 1MHz using a single external resistor. The internal oscillator can be synchronized to a system clock or to the oscillator of another regulator. A precision enable input allows optimized regulator control and system power sequencing. In shutdown mode, the regulator draws only 25μA (typical). An adjustable soft-start function is available by selecting a single external capacitor. The LM22680 also features built-in thermal shutdown and current limiting to protect against accidental overload conditions.
