LM25576MH/NOPB

The LM25576 is an easy-to-use step-down switching regulator that allows design engineers to design and optimize reliable power supplies using a minimal set of components. The LM25576 operates over an input voltage range of 6V to 42V and integrates a 170mΩ N-channel MOSFET capable of delivering 3A of continuous output current. The regulator employs an emulated current mode architecture that provides inherent line regulation, excellent load transient response, and simplified loop compensation characteristics without the low duty cycle limitations commonly associated with current mode regulators. The operating frequency is adjustable from 50kHz to 1MHz, enabling optimization of size and efficiency. To reduce EMI, multiple ICs in the LM25576 family can be self-synchronized or synchronized to an external clock via the frequency synchronization pin. The LM25576 features cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and remote shutdown to ensure robustness. The device is available in a power-enhanced HTSSOP-20 package with an exposed die attach pad for thermal dissipation. The LM25576 is supported by the full suite of WEBENCH online design tools.
