LM2854MHX-1000/NOPB

The LM2854 PowerWise step-down converter is a 500kHz or 1MHz buck switching regulator capable of driving loads up to 4A, with excellent power conversion efficiency, line and load regulation performance, and output accuracy. The LM2854 operates from an input voltage rail of 2.95V to 5.5V and provides a high-accuracy adjustable output voltage down to 0.8V. Soft-start can be implemented via a small external capacitor to control the startup sequence, enabling the LM2854 to properly start up into a pre-biased output voltage. Partial internal compensation reduces the number of external passive components and PCB board space typically required in voltage-mode buck converter applications, while still maintaining flexibility for ceramic and/or electrolytic capacitors. The device provides overcurrent or short-circuit fault protection through lossless cycle-by-cycle peak current limiting, and is optimized with an enable comparator to simplify power sequencing. The LM2854 is available in an exposed-pad HTSSOP-16 package for improved thermal performance of the regulator.
