Overview
The LM193-N series consists of two independent precision voltage comparators. The offset voltage specification of the two comparators is as low as 2.0mV (maximum). These comparators are designed to be powered by a single supply over a wide voltage range. They can also be powered by split supplies, and the low supply current consumption is independent of the magnitude of the supply voltage. These comparators also have a unique feature: the input common-mode voltage range includes ground even when powered by a single supply voltage. Application areas include limit comparators, simple analog-to-digital converters; pulse, square wave, and time delay generators; various VCOs; MOS clock timers; multivibrators, and high-voltage digital logic gates. The LM193-N series can be directly connected to TTL and CMOS. When powered by positive and negative supplies, the LM19-N series will directly connect to MOS logic, and its low power consumption has obvious advantages over standard comparators. The LM393 and LM2903 devices are available in TI's innovative thin DSBGA package with eight (12-mil) large bumps.
