The LM43601-Q1 is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter capable of driving load currents up to 1A with an input voltage range of 3.5V to 36V (42V transient). The LM43601-Q1 delivers excellent efficiency, output accuracy, and dropout voltage in an ultra-compact solution size. The extended family offers 0.5A, 2A, and 3A load current options in pin-to-pin compatible packages. Peak current mode control provides simple control loop compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. Optional features include programmable switching frequency, synchronization, power-good flag, precision enable, internal soft-start, adjustable soft-start and tracking, offering a flexible and easy-to-use platform for a wide range of applications. Discontinuous conduction mode and automatic frequency modulation at light loads improve light-load efficiency. This family requires minimal external components, and the pin layout enables a simple and optimized PCB layout. Protection features include thermal shutdown, VCC undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and output short-circuit protection. This device is pin-to-pin compatible with the LM4360x and LM4600x families. The LM43601A-Q1 version is optimized for PFM operation mode and is recommended for new designs.
