LM5007SDX/NOPB

The LM5007 0.5A step-down switching converter incorporates all the features required to implement a low-cost, high-efficiency buck regulator. This high-voltage converter features an integrated 80V, 0.7A N-channel buck switch, operating over an input voltage range of 9V to 75V. The device is easy to implement and is available in an 8-pin VSSOP package and a thermally enhanced 8-pin WSON package. The converter employs a hysteretic control scheme in which the PWM on-time is inversely proportional to VIN. This characteristic allows the operating frequency to remain relatively constant over variations in load and input voltage. Hysteretic control eliminates the need for loop compensation and provides fast transient response. The device implements an intelligent current limit with a forced off-time that is inversely proportional to VOUT. This current limiting scheme ensures short-circuit protection while minimizing load current foldback. Additional protection features include thermal shutdown with automatic recovery, VCC and gate drive UVLO, and a maximum duty cycle clamp.
