The LM53625-Q1/LM53635-Q1 synchronous buck regulators are optimized for automotive applications and can provide output voltages of 5V, 3.3V, or adjustable output voltages. Advanced high-speed circuits can be used to generate a regulated 3.3V output from an 18V input at a fixed frequency of 2.1MHz. With an innovative architecture, a regulated 3.3V output can be provided even when the input voltage is only 3.55V. The device has an input voltage of up to 36V and can tolerate transient voltages of up to 42V, thus simplifying the input surge protection design. It uses an automotive-certified Hotrod QFN package with wettable flanks, which can reduce parasitic inductance and resistance, improve efficiency, minimize switching node ringing, and significantly reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). The open-drain reset output has built-in filtering and delay functions to provide correct system status indication. Thanks to this feature, the device does not require additional monitoring components, which saves cost and board space. The device can seamlessly switch between PWM and PFM modes, and the low quiescent current (only 15μA for the 3.3V option) ensures high efficiency and excellent transient response under all load conditions.
