The LMS3635-Q1 and LMS3655-Q1 synchronous buck regulators are optimized for high-performance applications and can provide an output voltage of 3.3V or 5V or an adjustable output from 1V to 20V. The seamless transition between PWM and PFM modes and low quiescent current ensure high efficiency and excellent transient response at all loads. The advanced high-speed circuit enables the LMS3655-Q1 to regulate a 24V input to a 3.3V output (400kHz fixed frequency) while supporting a continuous load current of 5.5A. The innovative frequency foldback architecture allows the device to generate a 3.3V output from an input voltage as low as 3.5V. The input voltage range can be up to 36V, with a transient tolerance of up to 42V, which facilitates the design of input surge protection. The open-drain reset output has built-in filtering and delay functions to provide correct system status indication. With this feature, the device eliminates the need for additional monitoring components, which saves cost and board space.
