Overview
LP6225 is an asynchronous boost converter utilizing peak current mode control with a fixed switching frequency of 900kHz. The internal compensation network eliminates the need for external compensation components. The integrated soft-start circuit effectively limits inrush current during startup, preventing the battery or external supply voltage from being pulled down. Output voltage is programmable via external resistors to accommodate various power system requirements. The LP6225 automatically enters PFM mode under light load conditions to improve conversion efficiency. As load current increases, the device transitions to PWM mode, which offers a relatively fixed output ripple frequency band and high conversion efficiency. The LP6225 integrates protection features including undervoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature. The device is available in a compact SOT23-6 package.
