Overview

The LP875701-Q1 device is designed to meet the power management requirements of new processors and platforms in various automotive power supply applications. This device contains four step-down DC/DC converter cores, which are configured as a four-phase output in forced PWM mode. The device is controlled by an I2C-compatible serial interface and enable signals. The LP875701-Q1 supports remote differential voltage sensing of multi-phase outputs, which can compensate for the IR drop between the regulator output and the point of load (POL), thereby improving the accuracy of the output voltage. The switching clock can be forced into PWM mode and synchronized with an external clock to minimize interference. The LP875701-Q1 device supports load current measurement without the need to add an external current sensing resistor. The LP875701-Q1 device also supports programmable start-up and shut-down delays and sequences synchronized with the enable signals. These sequences may also include GPIO signals for controlling external regulators, load switches, and processor resets. During start-up, the device controls the output slew rate to minimize output voltage overshoot and inrush current.
