A high-precision CMOS LDO regulator capable of delivering up to 150 mA of output current while consuming only 0.6 µA of quiescent current (typical). The specified input operating voltage range of 1.4V to 6.0V makes it ideal for mobile applications and single-cell Li-ion battery-powered applications. Capable of delivering 150 mA of output current with a dropout voltage of only 0.32V (typical) at VR = 5.0V and 1.41V (typical) at VR = 1.2V. At +25°C, output voltage accuracy is typically ±0.02V for VR < 2.0V and ±1% for VR > 2.0V. Temperature stability is approximately ±50 ppm/°C. Line regulation is typically ±0.01%/V at +25°C. The available output voltage range is 1.2V to 5.0V. This device features excellent internal phase compensation, maintaining stable LDO output even without an output capacitor. However, an output capacitor should be added for improved transient response. Compatible with low-ESR ceramic output capacitors. The device incorporates built-in overcurrent limiting and short-circuit protection, providing a robust solution for any application. Features true current foldback. When load impedance falls below the rated load value, the output current folds back to 80 mA (typical) and the output voltage folds back to approximately 0V. When load impedance increases and returns to the rated load, it follows the same foldback curve as the device output current foldback. When the device is in shutdown mode (by applying a logic low to the SHDN pin), current consumption drops below 0.1 µA (0.01 µA typical). In shutdown mode, if an output capacitor is used, it is discharged through a dedicated internal switch, returning the output voltage rapidly to 0V. Available in 4-pin 1 x 1 mm UQFN and 5-pin SOT-23 packages, ideal for small, compact applications.
