Overview
MHX4004-MS is a low-noise, 400KHz charge pump DC/DC converter that delivers a regulated 5V output over an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5V, with excellent line and load regulation. The device maintains a stable switching frequency with a maximum output current of 300mA. It supports both PFM and PWM modes to optimize quiescent current consumption, extending battery life in portable applications — particularly suited for lithium battery-powered designs. The optimized charge pump architecture features low output ripple and minimal interference to wireless devices such as FM receivers. The IC integrates over-temperature protection, over-current protection, and soft-start functionality, with a shutdown current of less than 1uA, available in a SOT-23-6 package.
