The MIC23201 is a high-efficiency 2MHz 2A synchronous buck regulator with HyperSpeed control. Micrel's HyperSpeed control delivers ultra-fast transient response, making it ideal for powering processor core voltages. Another advantage of this proprietary architecture is the ability to achieve very low output ripple voltage with small output capacitors across the full load range. The compact 3mm x 3mm MLF package saves valuable board space and requires only three external components. The MIC23201 is designed to work with very small inductors (as low as 1μH) and a minimum 22μF output capacitor, keeping the total solution height below 1.5mm. The MIC23201 achieves up to 90% peak efficiency while maintaining a near-constant switching frequency of approximately 2MHz.
