The MSTPS562201DDCR is a synchronous buck converter utilizing fixed on-time (COT) control technology. The main control loop operates in COT mode, supporting the use of ceramic output capacitors with low ESR, enabling fast transient response without external compensation components. At a 1.2V output voltage, a 0 to 2A load transient results in an output voltage deviation of only 35mV. This control technique enables seamless transition between PWM mode and light-load operation mode, maintaining high efficiency under light-load conditions. The operating input voltage range is 4.5V to 16V, with an adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 6V. The device features adjustable soft-start time and integrates over-temperature protection, under-voltage protection, and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. The device is available in a 6-pin SOT23-6 package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
