OPA2172-Q1 and OPA4172-Q1 (OPAx172-Q1) belong to a family of 36V single-supply, low-noise op amps capable of operating from a supply range of 4.5V (±2.25V) to +36V (±18V). The OPAx172-Q1 features a miniature package with low offset, drift, and quiescent current. These devices also offer high bandwidth, fast slew rate, and high output current drive capability. The dual and quad versions share identical specifications to maximize design flexibility. Unlike most op amps that are specified at only a single supply voltage, the OPAx172-Q1 family is rated for operation across the full 4.5V to 36V voltage range. Input signals exceeding the supply rails do not cause phase reversal. The inputs can operate within 100mV below the negative supply rail and within 2V of the positive supply rail. Note that these devices can operate with rail-to-rail input up to 100mV above the positive supply rail; however, performance is degraded when operating within 2V of the positive supply rail. The OPAx172-Q1 family of op amps is rated for operation over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
