Overview

The OPA858 is a low-noise operational amplifier with CMOS inputs, suitable for broadband transimpedance and voltage amplifier applications. When the device is configured as a transimpedance amplifier (TIA), its 5.5GHz gain-bandwidth product (GBWP) can support applications that require high closed-loop bandwidth at transimpedance gains ranging from tens to hundreds of kilohms. The OPA858 package features a feedback pin (FB), which simplifies the connection of the feedback network between the input and output. The OPA858 is optimized for optical time-of-flight (ToF) systems and can be paired with high-speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and differential output amplifiers (such as the THS4541 or LMH5401) used to drive the ADCs in high-resolution lidar systems.
