Overview
The P6KE series is specifically designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients caused by lightning strikes and other transient voltage events.
Applications
- TVS components are ideal for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC buses, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computing, industrial, and consumer electronics applications.
Key features
- 600W peak pulse power capability at 10/1000 μs waveform, repetition rate (duty cycle): 0.01%
- Glass passivated chip junction in DO-15 package
- Fast response time: from 0V to V<sub>BR</sub> min typically less than 1.0ps
- Excellent clamping capability
- Typical failure mode is short circuit due to voltage or current exceeding specified ratings
- Whisker tested per Table 4a and 4c of JEDEC JESD201A
- IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection: air discharge 30kV, contact discharge 30kV
- EFT protection on data lines per IEC 61000-4-4
- Low incremental surge resistance
- Typical reverse leakage current (I<sub>R</sub>) < 1μA when V<sub>BR</sub> min > 12V
- Suitable for high-temperature reflow soldering (260°C/30 s)
