Overview
The PTVSHC2EN4V5B TVS diode is designed to replace multilayer varistors (MLVs) in portable applications such as mobile phones, laptops, and PDAs. It offers excellent electrical characteristics and high surge capability. This diode protects sensitive electronic components connected to power lines against overstress caused by ESD, EFT, and lightning strikes. The PTVSHC2EN4V5B is housed in a DFN1610-2L package and protects one bidirectional line. Per IEC61000-4-2, it provides ESD protection up to ±30kV (contact and air discharge); per IEC61000-4-5, it withstands a peak pulse current up to 160A (8/20μs).
