Overview
Designed to protect against battery reversal and load dump overvoltages in automotive applications, this monolithic component offers multiple functions in the same package : D1 : reversed battery protection T1 : clamping against negative overvoltages T2 : Transil function against “load dump” effect.
Applications
- Monolithic multi-function protection device (RBO) designed to protect sensitive semiconductors in automotive electronic modules against overvoltage and reverse battery connection.
- RBO circuit also prevents module-generated overvoltage from affecting the automotive power supply network.
- In this application, half of the motor drive circuit is powered through the "RBO," providing protection in accordance with its fundamental functional application.
